There were a lot of kids Jake's age at the party, and Lilah enjoyed watching them run around and play. Lilah also REALLY enjoyed Jake's playroom!! There were soooo many fun new toys for her to investigate. She found a Donald Duck musical toy that kept her entertained for quite awhile. And she loved playing with the helium balloons floating throughout the house. Lilah scarfed down some pizza and then went back to playing while the rest of us enjoyed our pizza lunch.
Then it was time for the pinata! Lilah even got a turn swinging the bat. She had no idea what she was doing, but Daddy helped her get a shot or two in at the pirate pinata. While the rest of the kids were distracted by the candy flying out of the pinata, we took Lilah over to the empty bounce house. We figured Lilah would feel more comfortable trying a bounce house for the first time if there weren't a bunch of other kids bouncing around her. Well...she was NOT a fan. Edward even went in there to show her what to do and make her feel more at ease. But she was uncomfortable in there so we removed her from the bounce house very quickly. But not before I snapped a photo (of course)!
Most of the kids left before Jake opened any gifts. The poor kid was so exhausted from all of the party fun and excitement that he barely had the energy to open his presents. I don't think he even cared about the gifts...he just wanted a nap! But the adults wanted to see him open some gifts, so he mustered up some energy. And with Lilah's help, he opened a few presents before we left. Lilah had a great time getting into the wrapping paper and gift bags!

Jake was going to town with that bat!
Lilah's turn to take a swing!
Can you see how thrilled she was to be in the bounce house?
He's just a big kid!
