Grandpa's January visit

In mid January, my dad drove out to California to visit us and my sister's family. We had not seen him since the previous January. The last time he saw Lilah, she was a helpless, teeny tiny 6 lb baby...just 2 weeks old. And now he returns a full year later, and that tiny baby is now an adorable toddler running all over the house, trying to talk!
Lilah warmed to Grandpa right away and had a great time playing with him. He stayed with us for several days, so Lilah had lots of exposure to him, which was wonderful. He helped entertain her while I cooked dinner and washed dishes. He kept her occupied while I took care of some chores upstairs. She even fell asleep in his arms a couple of times! We also enjoyed some great walks around the neighborhood, checking out the homes that are for sale. We are hoping to have Dad buy a house out here in Northern California and live here for at least part of the year. It would be so great to have him closer and more involved in Lilah's life!
