The growing Roza family: Christmas 2011, Part 2

Edward, Lilah and I stayed in the Bay Area for a couple of days following the Christmas holiday. A couple of my good friends from high school were in town visiting their parents, who still live in Concord. So Lilah and I headed over to my mom's house where we met up with my friends. Edward stayed behind to spend some more time with his dad. First, my friend Ryan came over to meet Lilah for the first time and catch up with me. I hadn't seen Ryan for a year or two, so it was really great to visit with him! He told me all about his recent proposal to his fiancée. We are so excited and happy for them!

Then, my best friend Rhoda came over to spend some time with Lilah and me. I reference her as "Tia Rhoda" to Lilah. Rhoda and I have been best buds since sophomore year of high school. That was 19 years ago! I want Lilah to know that Rhoda is a very important person to our family. Rhoda was so sweet! She brought Lilah a Christmas gift and Lilah loved opening the gift bag. We also took lots of photos, which is always fun. Lilah was being goofy, so we captured some very funny moments on camera. Unfortunately, Rhoda didn't get to stay very long...but we really enjoyed our visit with her!

We also visited Edward's father, Tony, who is now living at a senior care facility. It's a private residence run by a very caring family who takes great care of their patients/residents. And the employees love it when we bring Lilah to visit! And of course Tony, "Papa Tony", loves it too! It doesn't really seem to matter if he's having a good day or a bad day...when he sees Lilah, he lights up! He loved watching Lilah walk around and show off her new skills on her feet. And Lilah had a lot of fun playing with her grandpa and checking out his new residence!

Our friends Eric and Laurie, along with their daughter Darcie, cruised into town for the day right after we got back from the Bay. Thankfully we were able to connect with them on short notice! They came over to our home and we visited with them for an hour or so. This was our first time meeting Darcie, who is 2 months older than Lilah. She is so cute! And it was so fun watching Darcie and Lilah interact with each other and watch each other.
