October - always our busiest month, Part 1

And so begins the busy month of October! Edward had planned to work the first 3 weekends in October at Smith Family Farm. Of course that all depended on how things went with our pregnancy. We headed down to Brentwood to spend the first weekend of October there so Edward could work and Lilah and I could be with the Roza family. On that Saturday, the 6th, Lilah and I met my family at the farm. Lilah had a lot of fun spending time with Gramma and following Kai around! It was quite the ordeal trying to get all the kids to pose together. Not an easy task! Lilah loved exploring the farm and getting dirty. And she had lots of fun picking up big rocks and dirt clots in the pumpkin field, instead of picking out her pumpkin! It was fun to see the 3 kids playing at the farm this year and to remember how much different and younger they were 1 year ago. Last year at this time, Lilah was standing but not walking. She wasn't talking. And now she's saying 3 and 4-word sentences and running around all over the place! Looking forward to seeing her at the farm next year with her little brother/sister by her side!

On Sunday, the 7th, Lilah and I went to the farm to meet up with her second cousin, Colton. Colton's parents are Richard and Amber. Richard is Edward's first cousin. Lilah and Colton hadn't seen each other in over 1 year, so it was great to get them together again. Especially now that they are both toddlers and they have the same interests. Colton is a sweetie and he did a great job playing with Lilah and sharing his snacks with her! And of course Lilah had a great time seeing all of the animals again and getting dirty on the farm!
