The 4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we woke up bright and early to head over to Shea's house to watch the parade that goes right by her street. Lilah had some major bed head action that morning when we woke her up. I had to take pictures of it, of course! We slathered the kids up in sunscreen in preparation for a toasty morning out in the sun. Lilah and Kai had a great time watching all of the participants in the parade, especially the police cars, fire engines and other emergency vehicles. It was nice to see how patriotic and supportive everyone was. The parade lasted for quite awhile, so by the time it was over, we were anxious to get back into Shea's house and out of the sun. We didn't really have any other plans later in the afternoon and evening, especially since it was a work night for Edward. I figure next year when Lilah is a little older we'll take her out to see a fireworks show on the 4th.

Look at that adorable child with her crazy bed head!!

Waiting for the parade to start!

Watching the parade intently.

Kai was hiding right behind Shea - you couldn't see him at all!

Shea with her boys.

What a cutie pie!

Some great sparring action from the little karate kids!

This was cute!

"No photos please, Mama!"

My little cutie watching the parade.
