The growing Roza family: St. Patrick's Day 2012

My mother-in-law's birthday is on St. Patrick's Day, so we headed to Brentwood for the weekend to celebrate with her and the family. She didn't know it, but there was a surprise birthday party planned in her honor. Edward's brother, Anthony, essentially organized the entire event. We were expecting about 40 people to attend! But prior to the party, we headed over to the rest home where Tony has been residing for the last several months. The caretakers had planned a huge Filipino feast in honor of St. Patrick's Day. The entire room was decorated and there was so much food! Lilah was the belle of the ball, and everyone thought she was so cute! Rose Marie was even surprised with a yummy ice cream birthday cake.
Then we headed back to the house for a bit, making sure not to spill the beans regarding the big surprise party just hours away! The plan was that about 10 of us were going to go to Rose Marie's favorite Chinese restaurant for dinner. Little did she know, but there were already 30 more people waiting at the restaurant to surprise her! We walked in and headed towards the back of the restaurant. Once Rose Marie caught sight of everyone, she was so surprised she almost ran straight out the front door! She was so shocked to see everyone there in honor of her. She had a wonderful time that evening, and she loved showing off her adorable granddaughter to all of her painting/crafts friends. The food was delicious, and it was great to see a lot of the Roza family relatives again. Anthony did a wonderful job making sure that everything came together smoothly for Rose Marie's big day!
