Getting up close and personal with Kyle's face!
During my first week as a stay-at-home-mom, Lilah and I went on a day excursion to Folsom with the Patrick Family! Shea called me up at the last minute and invited us. It was so nice to be home with Lilah and be able to say yes! We went to Negro Bar, which is a small beach area off of Folsom Lake. It was a very hot day, so being near the cold water and the shade was quite refreshing. Once we finally found the right accessibility entrance to the beach, we were good to go! However, having Lilah near the dirt, sand and water in her crawling stage is difficult. She wants to be independent and crawl around, touch everything, and put everything in her mouth. But that's not ideal in outdoorsy conditions! We managed pretty well though.
Shea and I took Kai and Lilah into the water to play. The water was very cold! Lilah definitely noticed the cold water, but seemed fine having her little feet and toes in the water as I held her. Kai loved wading in the water and splashing us and the ducks that swam by. Shaun hung out in the shade with little Carson who was about 2 months old at the time. We enjoyed our afternoon together and we'll have to go back next spring and summer when the kids are older.
