8 weeks today!

As of today our little Lilah is already 8 weeks old! Time is just flying by. She has grown a lot in these past 8 weeks. She now weighs about 8 lbs 9 oz. She has a thin frame - she's definitely not a chunky baby. At least not yet! But she is consistently gaining weight and she seems to be doing very well. She has her 2 month check-up next week with her pediatrician and I am anxious to see how that appt goes. Lilah gave me her first smile this past week! Her smile is a work in progress. She kind of crinkles up her nose and then smiles more with one side of her mouth than the other. But it just melts my heart!

Here are some pictures I snapped while taking walks around the neighborhood. Lilah does very well in her stroller. Basically the moment we start moving she quiets down and then falls right to sleep!

Earlier this week Lilah and I went to a restaurant to celebrate my sister's birthday. This marked my first time taking Lilah out to a restaurant, and Daddy wasn't there to help us. But Lilah did very well, thank goodness. I had my baby bjorn carrier that she stayed in while I ate my burger. That way both of my hands were free! But she was held the rest of the time by me and my sister. Edward and I have been hesitant to take Lilah out and about too much, considering she is so young still. And she's still pretty tiny!
